I\'m not sure how I missed this but via the Sports Economist, I saw today that Sunil Gulati\'s first move as president of the USSF was to reduce the USSF board from 40 to 15.  I guess this move is meant to reduce some of the political infighting between the amateur and professional wings of the sport.  He also links to an article in the Internaional Herald Tribune that run on Tuesday,

He announced a 100-day program of initiatives including drives in international relations and greater involvement of Hispanics and African Americans.
